Default FOB key

I have a 2002 RX300 and the key fob didn’t work as far as locking and unlocking the doors. I replaced the battery in the key and it still didn’t work. Read a lot of posts on this forum and it appeared that it was most likely the actuator in the drivers door. I tested to make sure the receiver was working by inserting the key, removing the key and then reinserting and turning the key on/off 10 times, I heard the short and long beep so it appears the receiver is working. I then replaced the entire actuator part with genuine OEM Toyota replacement part. It worked fine for one day using the key fob to lock and unlock the doors. Now the key fob doesn’t work at all. You can lock and unlock the doors from the inside on the drivers door panel and front passenger door panel. Checked all the connectors and they look good. Any ideas of what happpened in one day?

This is strange, the battery was disconnected for a 6 hour period and I decided to reconnect it and try to use the key fob. Well, it works just fine now locking and unlocking the all the doors. Last night it rained and when I took the drivers side pane today after it didn’t work,, the actuator had some water on it but I thought that was coincidental, a minimual amount of water gets in the door but doesn’t get flooded. Any thoughts on this? Did the computer reset itself and now it’s working fine?
