Hi guys, thinking of getting a JDM transmission and I've learned it needed to be converted. Had a trans start to go bad on me almost a year after purchasing car. When I checked the trans fluid the fluid was jet black and looked like black oil that had never been changed since 2001. Soooo, I did a foolish thing and drained fluid and put fresh fluid in and walaah trans was like new for every bit of 10 blocks before it concked out in the middle of the road leaving me stranded.
Anyway, I'm going JDM and mechanic is scared due to conversion requirements. Sales says
~Keep my transfer case
~Change mounts
~keep my sensors no internal sensor changes are needed. I don't know if there is an internal sensor.
All conversions are listed above and are outside of the JDM trans...does anyone know this to be true?
