alignment issue?
I have been having a shaking of the steering wheel at highway speeds lately where the steering wheels is shaking and the whole vehicle starts to shake; but also it seems to like to pull to one side a bit. Is this a clear indicator of a alignment issue or is there more to this possibly? Thanks.
Why would shaking be an alignment issue? Alignment has to do with tracking and tire wear (although tire wear can have other reasons too).
Wheal balancing or suspension are more likely the reason.
You can try swapping wheels to see if that makes a difference.
For suspension, you would most likely need to visit a shop.
Alignment will automatically be part of the final fix after suspension issues have been addressed.
With so many issue related to your vehicle (based on your postings) , I would humbly suggest that you have your vehicle inspected. Then you can evaluate if it is worth fixing one thing at time. You may get a substantial break if you ask one shop to fix them all. You will be surprised that how much money flows out $50~$100 at a time.
