I replaced the driver's seat belt on my 02 RX300 and these instructions were much better than the instructions in the OEM box. Took me about an hour - the only difference I found was a black clip over the yellow connector that I had to gently lift or pull to release the yellow connector from the socket. Also, the installation guide said to set the torque wrench to 44 nm, or 32.5 lb ft.

Thanks, I wasn't sure how clear they were. And thank you for the torque specs.

Cost of replacement seat belt
Which is the better to do, go to the salvage yard and get a used seat belt, or get the fabric replaced? How much for a used seat belt? how much for the webbing to be replaced?
Thank you!

Warranty?!
How about seat belts with excessive slack on them? I'm wondering if there is a lifetime warranty on these seat belts...

I once suggested repairing the webbing and I got plenty of flack on that suggestion. So now I suggest replacing the whole thing.
Lexus seat belts are famous for the slack and how nice they are as they constantly never choke you like a python. You can do snap check to see if they do lockup.

For pricing check the online stores like Lexus of South Atlanta.

Does it required programming
I bought a brand new one and it is locked. Seller says it has to be programmed in. It is not a plug and play.

I cant vouch for plug'nplay but the limits have to be set/reset. The travel should be controlled by the move-seat button [nothing to do with programming]. Forward/backward, raise/lower, back tilt, lumbar. So many functions ... are all failing? Get hold of wiring diagram to see what is going on.
