I have a 2000 Rx300 AWD,The tranny wont go into 3rd gear.I brought the Truck 3/14/13, USED it has 180,000 on it,I never had any work done on the tranny.Would you recommend a full flush and or a knock sensor change to fix this problem?truck is in very good condition other wise.Please anyone with knowledge of this problem i would GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT.THANK YOU INADVANCE.SLIMGUY!!!!

When the truck gets to 40mph the rpm needle start to go up to 3000 the faster i go the higher the RPMs goes The thuck is an Lexus 2000 Rx300 and has 180,000 on it,Should change the KNOCK SENSOR oR anything u can tell me to do would be very helpful,THANx in Advance

A very important question was asked, Do you have Check Engine light On? Before answering that can you tell us if the CEL light, lights up during test ,,, the first time you turn ignition switch from acc to run. If the CEL light is busted, please have the OBDII codes read. There can be many reasons for not going to overdrive gear, and knock sensor problem will turn on the CEL.
