I wish Lexus would bring back the Silversport for the last of the 03's. I could kick myself for not getting one when they were available. The Coach Edition they offered last year just didn't get it. Did not like the color choices at all. When I look at the aluminium used around the dash on the Silversport and now what they are using on the new RX330, the Silversports metal looks very quality, whereas the new one looks cheap.
(maybe Exotic Wood Dash will offer matching wood to cover up cheap aluminium).
Just venting I guess, but does anyone else agree with me on the Silversport?

Do you mean modifying to make it a Silversport, or buying a Silversport?
If modifying, what is involved? What does it cost?

 

Paint paint and more paint. Check out my interior in the post with many pictures. Custom pain your wood trim to metalic silver. $4 a bottle of metallic silver paint at walmart/home depot. It;s made by Rust-o-leum (the most expensive spray paint I could find in home depot). Then bring it to a shop and paint all side moldings to factory metallic silver. Then, if you want, purchase some silversport struts. Now you got yourself a silversport except for the steering wheel and in the VIN.

I am one of the smart ones who bought the SilverSport- all black. I feel special because apart from a reg RX owner wanting to make his a SilverSport its also (in my knowledge) the only sports edition that Lexus ever made. All the coach editions etc are cosmetic differences and some additional bags for the Mrs thrown in the trunk. The SilverSport has Euro tuned suspension that makes it more sporty than just the looks of aluminium.

The only thing I dont like about the SilverSport models is the front grill which looks like an electric razor.

I'm an idiot. I have bad memory. Yeah and those too....unfortunately, it'll cost us a fortune to convert but well....i dunno. good luck. Silversports are nice but mine is the TRD Aero Tourer Version II
