Wood dash ---> brushed aluminum
Hey, i searched all over the place and i only found places that will make an overlay of your current wood pieces. I don't really want all those extra pieces that they ALWAYS come with, so i was thinking maybe of making my own brushed aluminum pieces. I have yet to see a compnay actually make a piece.
Guy's thought? anyone else try this? am i crazy? did i not search hard enough?
Thanks
Vincent

here are some pics i still need to go over the door panels with the semi's paint cause the paint or i went over with was to gloss it think i used the du pont leather and vynil paint. but i used s***s on the op door trim adn dash and it looks great no gloss but more of a oem look.
yea i know i need black steering wheel....getting seats redone soon to....
but the black and silver makes it feel alot more sporty i think.

yeah i defiantely wouldn't do it on tan interior. I myself have black interior. I was thinking of doing JUST the wood grain that's in the car to brushed aluminum, the paint jsut doesn't do it for me.
i guess i'll jsut have to take my wood pieces out, how hard is that guys?

wasnt to hard i masked the car off to do the dash i ddint want to take the whole dash out. I clean the surface first with just a damp towel and let it dry off a bit b4 spraying it with the s***s spray paint its a bit expensive per can but it really looks awsome on the dash and upper door moldings. the du ponte color for vinyl and leather is to shiny for me as u can see on the door panels.
I took the door panels and upper moldings out and the rear side panels out to spray them.
as for the wood trim i took them out and sanded the gloss off and primed the wood trim then spray it looks great no chips. I used a duplicolor spray can for the trim i did many layers off prime then sand and then 2 to 3 coats of the silver color didnt clear it do i dont want it super glossy.
The car has been like that since feb and no chips soo far.
There was a thread a while back about the s***s spray paint its great quality just a lil expensive i think it was like 7 or 8$ a can but well worth it. need to get some more and redo teh door panel.
