WAAG Nerf Bars for Daddy-O
Black WAAG Nerfs! I haven't had a sunny day to take any pics.
I installed them all by myself. Just pulled the RX over a low spot in the side yard. The first one took 2 hours. The second one took one hour.
This is it until I see if the 17's and 18's on the RX 330 will retrofit my RX 300...Unless, I can find a good deal on an Infinity Basslink.
Here's some pics from my gallery.
You can see my garage in the reflection.
They're not as black as my paint. Just a little darker than the cladding.
Overall, the effect works for me.
Best part is, I got them on e-Bay for $86.

Can you dig that shiny black paint? That's some Pampas Grass in the reflection.

They look great Daddy-O. Side tubes are a nice compliment to the RX. My next mod was the basslink until I squandered my money on an exhaust and intake
Have you seen the Basslinks on ebay going for right at $200 (buy it now) with the remote. It's a hard package to beat when you compare buying a 10" subwoofer, a box and an amp.
Can't hardly beat that price on the WAAG! Were they new? They look like it either way.

They were used...One owner. They were tarred up pretty good underneath and had a few scuffs on the paint...Fortunately, with the right chemicals, mild abrasives, polishes, and know-how, I was able to bring them back to a "like-new" condition.
I love that e-Bay!
I saw those Basslinks. Geez, there's plenty of them on e-Bay. I'm guessing, though, that there will be a "new and improved" Basslink coming soon. I'm betting that the current model will be available for $120-140 before the end of 2003.
Ooh, yeah..Basslink with installation for under $200
There aren't any other mods that I have a serious jones for. I have a kid. Increased performance isn't a big priority and my RX is pretty quick, anyway.

Really nice look! Next to Altezza's for my 99, I would want to put on the WAAGs next.
How much trouble are they to install? Drilling? Special tools? the 1-2 hours sounds doable.
thanks

No drilling. No special tools.
I used a ratchet with sockets, spanners and a pocket knife.
2 people could do this in less than an hour.
Another set of hands will really speed things up, though. Particularly mounting the bars to the supports. If you're alone, it's tricky holding up the length of the bar while bolting it on. Working alone with hardware this big/long has it's complications.
You have to cut away some small circles of undercoating to get to the existing holes in the frame where their hardware fits.
Make sure your exhaust system is cold, though. You will be working very close to it at one point.
Good luck.
