my 99 awd with about 140,000 miles has a lower ground to wheelwell on the drver's rear compared to passsenger rear; the difference is about 1 inch. the suv drives and sounds great. any thoughts? [tires are correctly inflated.]
Maybe a weak spring on that side? If the strut were to blame, the height would rebound to normal. If you change that spring, maybe consider new struts. My daughter's '99 has about that many miles, and it may be time for new struts, but I dread that. What a pain to compress those springs!!

Can you please describe how you prepared the RX for measurement. Did you bounce the rear mid? How about weight distribution ... full tank ... 150lbs on each seat ... etc. What about the diagonal opposite end?
salim: i have noticed this for the last month when it sits, empty and parked in the garage, with the gas tank about 1/2 full. the left rear sags 1 inch. i haven't done any other testing.
Try bouncing it evenly at the front and then at the back ... let go at the bottom of the swing and the cab should go up and come down a bit. Measure at that point.
I had a spec for my son's BMW body clearances and they had the conditions down to kgs on each seat. That is how you could tell if the suspension bushings needed replacement ... 50k-70k miles was the typical. I have not found one for RX, but I am sure there is one. If any member has come across one, it would be great if they would post it here.
