Default burning oil

i have a rx300 it burns about a quart of oil a week my friend has one that does the same is this a problem with theses suv`s both are 2001 both have the v-6 3400 they both blow blue smoke on the first start up of the day but nothing the rest of the day??????????????

Have you performed compression test?

Sounds like valve seals but a wet/dry compression test will be the right first step. How many miles on the engine?

Hope they don't have sludge....but also don't forget to replace pcv valve.......
