Most of the problems (related to age) have been due to blower control module. I have not come across any thread that talks about replacing blower motor.

Let see if any one responds. In the mean time, it may be worth re-checking the control module.

You're not talking about the blower motor behind the glove box right?

The fan motor is working, but has a random loud noise. Sounds like a model airplane engine at times.
From what I read, the blower motor needs to be replaced.. The RX has 160k on it..
BTW, the blower motor control relay was replaced by dealer on 8.23.12

Maybe someone on here can assist me as well. My 1999 rx300 will not blow air or heat. Only sometimes. Never know when it is going to blow. Had a guy look at it and he said i need a blower speed control module. i am not sure what that is. Could it be the same as a blower motor? Please help a lady out.
Thanks

It is most definitely not the same as the blower motor. It would be available from many sources, an example would be www.rockauto.com. I'm sure Lexus would also be happy to sell you one at several times the amount of the ones at RockAuto, which are about $115.

I changed my A/C blower motor today.

At low speed my previous one was making a low rumbly sound like a bunch of tiny gnomes were hammering away.

I used a TYC 700112, $62 at Amazon. Took me 20 minutes, gnomes are gone now.
