Use a GPS, you will know. The downhill trick works to get a higher mph, despite the fuel cutoff.

i voted for Ludicrous speed. one good thing about being in the middle east, the rx350 here is limited to 124mph (~198 kmph). have hit the speed limiter once for a few secs, no idea of the mpg at that speed or the rpm reading, i was too busy hanging on for life

I don`t know about this gentlemen, isn`t this a family vehicle? You might start loosing body moldings or something at those speeds.

How did 10% of you guy`s get over 120mph,when limiter is @112? I would definitely not feel safe doing that kind of speed, unless I`m on a track. And in a GTO or something more capable of handling that kind of speed.Their is simply too much that can happen to you on public highway`s going that fast.Deere, grandpa in left lane, fuel conservative guy in right lane, rabbit deciding he wants to run out in front of you etc.

I did it going down a hill. Same one as where I did this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnb_ilGDAU8

You will notice if you take a GPS and do this on a straight highway it can hit something like 114, 115. But going down a hill, gravity is helping you a along a bit and though the speedometer may not say it, but a GPS will and that is how you can knock off 120. Took me a few tries to do this.

Some people I know were in Europe and had the TTE delimiter to accomplish this. However, you can smell the tires on these kinds of runs.

Lex,I enjoy speed it is definitely a thrill. When I last worked for my local Pontiac dealer,I had the pleasure of taking a new GTO up on the highway.I remember one kid in a so-called souped up Honda civic thought he was going to show me up.(Yeah right) I dropped from 6th gear down to 4th gear and I briefly thought I hit warp drive on the U.S.S. Enterprise throttle console.Needless to say the Honda didn`t have a remote chance in Haites against this machine.I did not maintain this speed after the original takeoff due to the reasons I stated above.
