Any of you with nav systems look at your instantaneous fuel economy when going 100mph? I'm curious to see what it would read...I would guess around 8-10mpg.

Note - I'm not condoning this type of behavior so don't blame any speeding tickets/accidents on me.

I think all RXs have a fuel economy information on the blue screen. Mine is definitely in single digits when I am doing this (and altitude and modifications affect it even more). At the track, the RX will do 4-6 mpg flying down the 1/4 mile.

The police I do not mind down here (The Federal Police are like State Troopers and have radar guns), but the roads can get really crappy in some places where the previous time they were paved like gold. The whole Mexico City basin is sinking due to the fact that some idiot though it would be swell to drain a lake and plop a city on top of it. Now you get cracking streets and more vicious earthquakes.

8 mpg is what I saw going into RX hyperspace made close to 112 mph last night. It goes back up into the teens if you let of the gas a little but stay over 100.

I took a recent look at Underdog Racing Development's website today, but was to not see the 1MZFE lightweight crankshaft pulley listed anymore. I had heard there was a limited stock left. One idea I had before hearing of the pulley from TunedRX300 was to buy one of the supercharger pulleys and use different size belts to see if I could have done a custom fab (even though I would not put a supercharger into my RX).

Cool

The engine speed limiter kicks in at 115... you can tell when it kicks in because you feel the motor cutting in and out (the limiter cuts the gas on and off) youll also see your rev limiter bouncing up and down.

Actually, it is 112, but it may look higher. In fact, as I mentioned earlier I have gone into the 120 region on a slope according to GPS.

You are correct...i was pushing my RX to the max for about an hour straight..when you hit the 115 mark, the speedometer pushes you back down to around 110 or so and as you mention the car no longer accelerates.....be careful out there!

The only way to hit a 120 (and you need the GPS to see this) is to do what I like to call Space Mountain on a highway and you got a fast run down a decline. Though the gas will cut off, the RX still has some interia going for it. Again, watch those tires as they can only handle so much for so longer if they are getting thin.

I think it was in the 13Ks USD last time I look it up at TRD, but still way more than the TRD Supercharger for the Camry/Solara.

It is limited at 110mph. If you reach 130mph, it must have been in your dreams or an X5.

Don't be so proud of that display. Your vehicle is in no way going any faster than it is governed unless you are speedind down hill, maybe it will let you. None of you people here ever considered speedometer discrepancy? If you wanted to go faster, buy German. There isn't an SUV or car that could out performed a German.

Don't be so stuck up about this, just like you said, if his speedometer read that speed it doesn't mean he was exactly travelling that fast. Also there are SUV's that can directly compete with German manufacturers.

Land Rover Sport; comes HSE or Supercharged can put up a fight with the larger SUV's (X5, ML500/55 AMG, Volvo XC90's)
Acura RDX (perhaps going up against X3's)
