Max Speed attained on RX!
If I can get the throttle body off this Saturday...port and polish.
That is another little interesting mod.
With regard to the ECM, you are exactly right. Try taking off the air intake resonator (located right below the driver's side headlight. TunedRX300 had some good posts about how to get to it but you have to take some screws off the bottom (in front of the left, front tire). This will give you some more air into the engine so as to experiment.
The ECM fights me all the time, especially when the precats went off (downpipes stay on for now).
I will say this, I have gone from a 19.6 in the 1/4 mile up here...down to 18.177, and it hovers now at about 18.3 to 18.5 depending on things like humidity, air pressure and air temperature, keeping tire pressure and fuel level constant. My 60 foot time are now 2.7 on a regular basis in competition with a best of 2.694. So, my theory is the ECM is fighting me somewhere at the high end as sometimes I do 119 km/h and sometimes go as high as 122.74 km/h with virtually the same E/Ts and 60 foot times.
The ECM accepted quite a bit and I watched a steady progression of 1/4 mile time plateaus over the last year. So something is working.
The real surefire test will come at sea level in San Antonio (most likely mid to late December at the earliest).
I have been told by certain insiders that the 1MZ-FE on our RXs can withstand up to 400 hp of power. That is why I am thinking turbo time.
BTW, when I run 1/4 mile I have now come to the following conclusions:
1) PWR button must be on if you have this (and traction of any kind off)
2) Overdrive off at launch and should be re-engaged at about 40 mph, just after second gear comes in. You can leave the overdrive off the entire run, but you will feel the car fighting pushing against you.
I came to the conclusion not long ago, why should I buy an RX330 or RX400h when I can modify what I have.

Although at 7,400 altitude in Mexico City, the best velocity trap I get is 76.3 mph at the line. Fastest I have seen any vehicle do is a little over 120 mph.

and you can go OK at about 110 without the limiter kicking in. My current minivan
(Honda Odyssey 2003) has the same limits. It stays very stable at 110-112.
Above that if it hits 115 it feels pretty scarry since it does something so that
speedometer drops below 110.
I know Odyssey runs fine at 110mph for quite a few hours since after I moved
to California I used to drive between LA and SF between 100 and 110 all the
time until someone told me to keep it under 100 not to get the license suspended.
I would be surprised if RX330 has werse limits than my Odyssey. I only had it
for 3 days and had no chance to try anything. One sad part I noticed is that it
feels a bit "softer" when kick-starting from zero. My Odyssey seems to do a
better job with a proper application of gas not to get the wheels overspin
during the first 300-400ms and then flooring it completely.
OK, here comes my data.
The limiter kicks in at 110mph exactly. Tried it today a couple of times
to make sure it wasnt a mistake. The cutoff is very soft too. Not like
on Honda or Ford which cut off pretty abruptly - feels almost like the
car applies brakes on its own.
The "torque" or acceleration to go from about 95 to about 105 is very
soft. Much werse than on my Honda Odyssey. So I'd have to give a
credit to the Honda's engine here. I heared somewhere before it
is a lot more powerful than Toyota's.
Overall feel driving 80-90mph on a highway is very nice, soft and
smooth. Even though the power seems to be missing a bit, it
still feels nice driving it around.

The Odyssey (the last version) had 240 hp till more than the 230 on the RX330 (or 223 on those official counts). I have driven that Honda and it does feel powerful, but I would still take the Sienna for a minivan...had a much smoother feeling on the acceleration.
Refer to my earlier posts about buying devices to kill that speed cutoff.
I regularly hit that cutoff going up to my track on the nice toll road we have out here.
I still have not hit that 17.9 at 7,400 feet elevation yet for those who are following along. Still a lot of 18.1s to 18.3s and high humidity. The one night I hit 18.093 the humidity was extremely low.
BTW, I won the the Interstate Championship for November in Bracket Racing here in the Mexico City Metro area for the 17.0 to 21.5 second category this afternoon at the Tlalnepantla 1/4 mile track. Hit a string of reaction times in the .500 range to help seal the championship. First time an SUV has won this monthly championship and definitely the first foreigner and first Lexus to take the prize I am sure of that. I have won some more minor bracket competitions and fastest reaction times, but nothing like this.

The Federal Police out here most of the time don't mind the speeding...you can never be too sure, but they are looking to bust unsafe trucks carrying cargo as this is a bigger ticket item.
spoke with hks dealer in ct. most dealers no of the item to remove the governor but every one does not stock it. 2ndly u have to do a bit o splicing near the ecu. my rx is still under warranty. i am afraid to mess with. one morning on my way to work a wrx took off infront of me. i took of behind him. i got along side him but @110 i could not get any faster and he pulled away. i soon i got to work i jumped on the net and got hks. they pointed me a ct dealer who told me i am going to have to do a little bit of wire cutting

I drove RX300 top speed at 110 at Chino Hill Freeway 71 CA. It was happened one year ago, and scary hell! I wouldn't that kind speed my RX300 tires rating M&S! Local road, I hit 95mph few times racing some kids! :
