Radio Stats
I have looked to no avail. Anyone know how many watts per channel is our stock head unit? how many watts is our speaker amp? how many a watts is our woofer amp?

I believe it has all of the information you are looking for. However the OP in that thread mentions the sound system is 190 watts, and I could have sworn that it was 240 watts.

The '99 model had less watts and it was increased in 2000 or '01 without any superficial change. I don't recall either number [these numbers are hyped in any case ]

In my opinion the problem is due to the acoustics of the chamber. The sedans have a trunk and the speakers with rear in the trunk produce a better low and the highs are reflected by the sloping rear glass.
The thin gap in the door also prevents the use of good sized cones (all you can stick in there are pretty flat cone speakers).
Vibration/harmonics are bad as well.
What I am trying to say is the problems are more due to other things than the head-unit.
You will have to live with the limitation. On the other hand the noise cancellation is pretty good.
