Nakamishi/Pioneer Radio Question
I have a 92 SC4 with the stock Pioneer Radio. Everything else works but the FM radio. I am thinking of buying a used radio from a 95 SC4. It is a Nakamaishi (sp?) anyways..will it work just fine? Plug right in?
Thanks

the nak uses a different amp than the premium sound system. The pioneer/premium sound system has an amp for the speakers, then a seperate one for the sub.
the nak has a 5 channel amp.
I'm not sure if it will work. you could check 953005sp's diagrams @ http://209.125.175.29 (man I should just tell my DNS about my new server... I have a domain for crying out loud. Oh well. I'm lazy.)

It probably won't plug right in for the simple fact that two amps have redundant wiring versus a single 5-ch amp. It isn't impossible to make it work using the wire diagrams, but not a chore I want to be stuck with.
If it's just the FM radio, did you check the antenna? perhaps the signal lead broke loose somewhere. How is it not working? I say buy an aftermarket deck with a cleaner preamp processor or find the matching OEM Pioneer unit.
