My 02' AWD is approaching 200k and I'm wondering how much longer I can expect her to be basically trouble free. I'm running synthetic blend oil and change it about every 5k and change the transmission fluid about one a year following the DIY listed here. Timing belts been changed once along with the plugs but she's running on the original water pump. Changed the rotors at about 150k. Struts and springs are original. Front and rear diff were changed with Mobil 1 gear oil.
What are people out there getting out of this model as far as total mileage on original engine / transmission?? She really purrs like a kitten and I expect to get to at least 250k without any issues.
Honestly, I'm expecting at least 400k miles. As my uncle is approaching that number, and his 99' RX has been trouble-free. I should hit 200k mile by next year in my RX. I do plan on running this as far and as long as I can, I really want to try and achieve 500k miles. I think that would be an awesome milestone.
I've Toyota's up to 300k miles before, for example the Toyota Van in my signature.

Thanks for the replies. Keep me comin everyone!!
Looks like my 250k shouldn't be a problem!!
I think it's sort of like expecting to live to 95 years old or 100 years old, trouble-free. Some people will do it, but the odds are against it.
I used to have a Mercedes-Benz diesel sedan and the company kept track of high-milage cars. Back then, there were two that went over a million-miles, trouble free. One was owned by a Medical Doctor in Texas that put in long miles (presumably all flat highway driving) doing house calls. The other was a guy in Oregon or Washington State who went straight out of his driveway onto an interstate and drove around two hours each way to work just on flat interstate highways. I think he had to do oil changes every two weeks.

You are exactly right. You can do all the right things and still die young. Just want to get a handle on the RX owners out there who are diligent with their Maintainance and how their vehicles hold up.
I doubt I'll have her much longer than 250k but you never know

If you change your timing belt again, if you get a good indy to do it, you should not be charged any more labor for the water pump as it's right there. Dealer wanted $1,700 (!) for timing belt and water pump. Indy charged me $300 labor for all, and I think the timing belt kit was $100, the pump $80 and I think two gallons of coolant $20. The whole thing $500 instead of $1,700. Crazy. Well worth paying for that second tow from the dealer to the indy.
