Default Need help with 2 problems...

Hi, I need some help with 2 problems on a '99 RX. First, the "D" (drive) light in the instrument panel doesn't light up anymore. Second the driver's door lock ONLY locks/unlocks with the key(keyhole). The car is out of warranty now and there is no Lexus nor Toyota dealer anywhere near. Can anyone suggest what may be wrong or how to fix this? Thanks.

Its a known problem with the Drivers Door ECU/Master Switch.... All sorts of weird stuff happens. Can't unlock any of the doors, window controls go all srewy, etc.

Quote TSB EL004-00 and they might fix it for free even if the warranty is expired :-)

Thanks, I'll check with the dealer where we bought the car.
