Well, I figure while I'm on a roll (see "Rear Seat Trim Piece" post from yesterday), I might look at another probelem that has surfaced recently. Thr driver's side rear seat seat won't adjust forward and backward any more. The passenger side works fine. I can lift up the adjuster bar under the front of the driver's seat and the bar/lever appears to moved identically to the passenger side but the seat won't move forward (it's stuck in the rearmost position).

Anybody know if there's anything that is knopwn to bend/break on this mechanism that might cause this to happen or the most efficient fix/troubleshooting path?

The seat mechanism seems of stout design to me, so I know I'm stating the obvious and you may have already checked,,, Is the seat track jammed on something that got stuck underneath it?
