car stopped responding to keyless fob, where is the "receiver" located?

The only thing I can say is this is a perfect example of why not to loan (leave) your car with your cousin. Does he take responsibility for these things? If you have a size 12 boot I think you have a pretty good idea where you should plant it!

I have to agree with this. At least have him pay for the repairs, and let him deal with it. Take it to the dealer, and send the bill to your cousin.

I found the location of the wireless receiver. In the repair manual it's called the Wireless Door Lock ECU or Wireless Door Lock Control Receiver and is located In Rear Luggage Area, Behind Left Rear Quarter Panel.
I also found more info on diagnosing the wireless receiver, but it seems that I'll need a special Lexus Scan Tool to completely diagnose where my trouble is coming from. Although, maybe I can just use an OBD2 reader? I'm not 100% on reading parts of this manual.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems as though this is where I should start troubleshooting, but I don't fully undertand how to check continuity between the wires. Once I get into the body ECU I'm sure I can find the blue wire, but where is the body ground? The ECU chassis or the negative terminal on the battery or someplace else?

I found more pages in the manual to troubleshoot my problem. The more I read this manual the more it seems to make sense. Next time I get the chance to work on this I'll update this thread. (probably not for a couple weeks)
Wait, I'm pretty new to using forums. Am I even in the right place to be talking abou this stuff or should I be creating a new thread or should I be updating a different thread?
