I was told that the new body style was going to be at the dealerships in April of this year. Is that true?

 

I've heard that Lexus dealers will be attending
an all-day seminar on Friday, October 18.

The agenda? New Lexus products.

RX 330? It's all rumors and hearsay at this point.

 

It's hard for me to believe that we have such difficulty catching a glimpse of the 330, but it would be on the lots in 6 months. Do you agree? Bottom line is I'm wondering how much pressure the dealers are under to sell '02's and '03's. If there are only going to be 6 months of '03's it would seem like deals could be struck?

 

I have no difficulty believing that Lexus can be secretive.

Deals are always possible on any vehicle. I got a great
deal on my '02 RX in April. It's all about the buyer and
the dealer. I believe that a patient, educated consumer
gets the best deals. Once you know their bottom line,
they have no power over you. They're the chumps.

Lay your offer on the table, and the phone will ring. They
want to sell cars. Just make it clear that you want to buy
a car, but at your price. It may take a week. It may take
a month. They will call and you'll get your price.

 

Actually no...

If the 03RX is going to be a limited run (like the 2000 LS400) then it could become almost impossible to track one down if you don't want to wait for the new model. This would of course inhibit your deal...
