Default Wiper insert part number

Hello,

I didn't find this in the FAQ so I did a search and found the following part number for the wiper insert from another thread.

Driver: 85214-44040
Passenger: 85214-26020

I gave these numbers to the toyota parts department and they said these are old part numbers and they can no longer follow them. So I said, it's 24 and 21inch.
Ended up picking up two insert that are both 2 inches longer than the original one.

Anybody have the "new" product number?

Also, the guy said he can't look into lexus parts from the computer.

Hi, Wing!

I ordered about a year ago from Carson or Sewell using the part numbers as follows:
Driver: 85214-50100
Passenger: 85214-26020 (same as you used)
Rear: 85214-0E050

These are the blade refill inserts, not the entire assembly.

Sewell uses part # RSW199 for a set of all three blade refills.

Hope that helps!

Lexus Part number 8521444040 was superseded by part number 852140E020.

Toyota Part number 8521444040 was superseded by part number 85214YZZFZTM.

8521426020 is still a valid part #

Thanks for the part numbers...
I'm a little speechless after looking at the invoice.

He gave me
85214-44140(instead of reading what I wrote which was 85214-44040). That explains why the driver side doesn't match.

Now passenger side, he put down 85214-0E020 which is the Lexus part number for the driver side. Yet, this one cost $3 cheaper than the above one.

I was wondering how come it cost me $20CAD to buy two inserts when I used to pay a lot less...

Just found my 2008 invoice. Not sure if this is still valid. Got the insert from another toyota dealership.
Driver side: 85214-50100
Passenger side or Rear: 85214-AA060 / 85214-10100

Do these parts people just randomly put in some numbers in the system, whichever the highest they can find to get a bit more profit?

Is it really that hard for them to distinguish which wiper blade insert works with which car?
I've never had this problem with Acura/Honda.

I actually use aquapel on the window and the wiper blade that is on there are 3 years old now. One of them began to rip hence I had to go buy another set.
