Question Is any AC maintenance needed?

I have 110K on my RX300 and i have never got any check's or service done on my AC so far. I tried to search this forum for any recommendation on any regular AC maintenance but did not find anything.

Please can someone comment if there is a need for any maintenance for the AC.

It has been working fine for me in moderate Southern California weather but thought it fit to ask you folks so that i don't run into any major repairs down the line :-)

As a rule, no, unless you're having problems cooling. There's a sight glass in front of the radiator - bubbles in this indicate a low refrigerant charge. Of course, other things can go wrong (compressor, clutch, condenser/evaporator leak, noisy bearings, etc) but if all is well and quiet, you're fine. I have a 1999 with 140,000 miles and the A/C is fine and never been touched.
