Default Where to buy drive shaft parts?

I have a 2003 RX300 AWD just hit 120K, I noticed some squeaking while backing up so I found a bad u-joint on the front portion of the drive shaft. only problem is, Lexus will only sell me the entire 3-piece drive shaft assy. for $1200.00 Any one else have this issue? where can I find parts for this?

Find an automotive machine shop; many can rebuild drive-shafts. If they can't, they certainly know who can.

You should be able to buy the individual shafts (not cheap though).

I was in the same boat and having to pay $1200 plus install was not an option. Talked to a few people and went on some forums and came across this place that is highly recomended. Decided to give it a shot, I was able to score a completely re manufacutured Lexus drive shaft for my vehicle and it came with replaceable u joints!!!. Still cant believe I got a re manufactured drive shaft that is like NEW!! for under $700!! with free shipping. Long story short, car fixed! saved a ton of money not buying one from the Lexus crime orginization and thier ridiculous price. Happy to report my Lexus is still riding smoother than a Cadillac.
