Default Few questions..

Names Michael, just joined this site tonight, Thinks it's could be some great use for me. Anyway;s Not guna come on this site and talk **** and act like I know everything about car's expecially somethings as nice as my Rx 300. I just know enough to get by I guess. I'm humble and expect the same. I'll ask honestly more then likey some real dumb questions about my truck. Things I would like to know or do someday. By doing so you will at least know I'm not claiming to know this and that about car's like these. just want to learn and curious can't beat that. nothen get's more humble and honest then that. just woundering if someone sometime could answer some of my questions. That would be a great start and head in the right direction with my truck. Thanks and god bless. Roberts

Welcome aboard, Roberts. We're all in the same boat... or have been at one time. Ask away.

First a warm welcome.

We are all amateurs here and the atmosphere here is very down to earth and friendly. So do not hesitate to post. I would still recommend that the poster reads the User Manual and use the search before posting. We have had few threads that the OP was too lazy or wanted a quick answer, but honestly they have been few and far in between. You will also notice the language here is clean and the attitude is respectful.

RX and mostly the Lexus line of toyota is not known to be a rich market for after market parts. [SC and GS are two lines which are modded the most].

Before you mod, I would suggest weigh out the advantages and disadvantages. If you are trying to improve the breath-ability, you have to change the intake and the exhaust. The gain at the end is going to be very small and may not be worth the time, effort and money and then there is the down side of noise and intake sensor (and increased chance of larger particles in the chamber etc).

If you search through old posts, you will find LexMex did the intake change and his motivation was to shave of time on the track. Look through his posts and you will find what you are looking for. I think there are only 1 or 2 major names who make the intake and internet could be full of people who claim that they have an intake for RX.

Post specific names and hopefully some on can tell you if they have installed it.

Oh I forgot to mention, I have not come across any one who has remapped the ECU for a change in the intake ... the computer will keep things close to its design point.
