Remote programming question

When programming the remote for the doors, what exactly does REWRITE (DELETE) mode do? Does it delete all programmed remotes, or just the one that you push the remote button for?

Did you do a search?....there are a lot of older posts on programing the remote

^^ The question is unique and not addressed ...

Expected behavior is only the pressed button is deleted/erased ... but cant guarantee it as I have not tried it.
