Default PermerPlate Anyone ?

Just had the dealer apply the permerplate paint guard to my new Rx300. Right now, the vehicle looks very shiny and cool. Question for Rx owners, has anybody had any problems with the product, any issues I should be aware of.

Thanks

Exclamation Perma-what?

Score one big "gotcha" for your dealer. These add-on packages are almost pure profit, but probably do no real harm. Just keep the finish clean and apply a good wax regularly. Despite the advertising, no surface treatment is permanent.

yeah, we got it with our BMW. it was a scam; however, when then "reapplied" it two years later (free of charge at least), they cleaned it pretty nice. looked shiny and smelled new. i guess it was an really expensive detail job...

Hah, prob the same as for the Touch of Class that i got... O well, at least my paint now is under warrenty...

Its ok, i hope i can get it retouch of classed again since my paint does not feel as smooth as before anymore nor glossy n shiny.

BTW, i claybared the car last time also... so its just because i park outside and not in a garage...

I had them throw in free permaplate when I bought my RX. The dealer seemed cool about doing reapplications or interior cleanings during the 5 yr period. Just bring it in and they'll take care of it. Saves me some cleaning time.
