nope......goes in thru that tape adaptor......not fm modulated. i had it running in an aftermarked deck with aux inputs.....still digital.

 

So how does the tape thing compare to a XM Headunit like Alpine's.

 

wouldn't know.....don't have an alpine xm unit. but with the jvc unit i was unit it sounded great......with the tape unit on the stock head unit it sounded the same to me. maybe those people with dog ears could tell the difference........i can't.

i got a great setup now. 6.5 605 infinity seperates in the front. 6.5 cdt braxia coaxials in the rear. 2 10 image dynamics idq v2's for subs. audiobahn 4 channel for the speakers 2 channel for the woofers. pioneer deh-840mp headunit with xm radio hooked up. pictures of the install should be up next week......if we finish the boxes and dash piece =)
