Switch seat cushion????
My 2001 RX300's frontdrivers seat cushion is worn & the passenger side is like new. Is it possible to switch them?

How will you reach the seat adjustments? How will the electrical connections match?
What will you do for the passenger side if you attempt the (unadvisable) switch?
Time for seat covers, or a used seat from a junkyard.

I was hoping that the seat cushion & pad could be unbolted from the seat assembly & swapped with the passenger side leaving switches, etc. untouched.

I checked the part numbers and found that the part numbers for all parts of the seat cushion (cover, pad, spring assembly, seat track, etc., etc.) are different between the right and left front seats.

Thanks. I knew it would be just too simple to do a switch. Is the leather seat surface the same same or different? I think the leather is attached to the frame with "hog rings". I have the heated seats.

I assume they are different since they have different part numbers.

I swapped the leather covers on the front seat bottoms as I had the same problem you did. The cushions themselves were fine.

Did the covers appear to be the same? Did you have heated seats?

Yes, you can add the factory heating elements or aftermarket elements.
