Maybe this issue has been covered in some other post on the forum, however if so I cant find it.
Is it common for the screen displaying the cruise, sound system, climate control information to become "washed out" or to fade away in conditions where the sun may be shining partly or directly on the screen and warming the surface of the screen?
I had this happen to my screen read-out yesterday and it took a while for it to come back to full brightness. (I have the screen brightness set to the maximum)
It finally regained it's brightness when I drove for a distance in a fairly dark and cloudy environment.
Any other forum member experienced this problem?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you.
It might just be the age...not 100% sure. I have an extra radio/climate control screen it matches the cars with the tan/ivory interior i believe. I could sell it to you if you just want to swap it out. Its pretty simple plug and play back there. email me at robertrios@outback.com if your interested or PM me.
