Default Engine job done, so far so good, fuel pump?

$3000 dollars (Hopefully I will see at least a partial return but that is a diff. story) and a bunch of time later, I finally finished my 2001 Lexus RX300AWD engine job on Thursday!!! So far so good the engine is running smoothly and quiet. No leaks and eveything is put together right, I did miss one loose bolt on the steering rack but easy to tighten up at the end when I could tell the steering was off. The thing I did notice is that my fuel pump seems extremely loud now. I can hear it all the way around the car even clear up in front of the hood over the engine running. Weird, anyone else have that issue?? Do you think my fuel pump is going out? It has 1/2tank of gas and I'm not having any idle issues, fuel leaks, or anything else, just a loud fuel pump. Maybe I'm just paranoid because I don't want anything else to go wrong on this.

I'd probably have to hear the sound in person to notice it.

I would pull the pump and check it.
