Does anybody have experience replacing the rubber boot on the front brake caliper piston? One of mine got torn when I replaced the brake disc pads .
It looks like you might be able to replace it without removing the piston. Is this correct, or am I missing something?
I have never had to do this, but from the good explanation I saw in the manual, it appears one has to remove the boot ring and piston boot first (a screwdriver is used).
It then goes on to add remove the piston from the cylinder by putting a piece of cloth between the piston and the caliper and then using compressed air to remove the piston from the cylinder.
