Default Windshield pump replacement

Hi, could someone tell me if there is an aftermarket alternative to the OEM pump for 2000 RX300? I found a couple on-line but not sure if they would work. Thank you.

Welcome to Club Lexus.

This is not a direct answer, but I would recommend you go with either a Lexus replacement part or the Toyota equivalent replacement part. If you use the search function, you should find a description of the Toyota equivalent part. From what I've been reading on this forum, it is not a typical pump since it pumps fluid to the front when rotating in one direction and to the rear when rotating in the other direction.

Thank you for the reply. I also looked at the previous posts and looks like Toyota equivalent is my best bet. I tried posting a link to the aftermarket one I found but it looks like posting a URL is not allowed on this forum?

trust me,stick with the oem denso.the after market stuff will require re wiring etc,not worth it.on these pumps, the motor spins in one direction for your front wash, and the other direction for the rear wash.thats why it only has one pump vs.two.i just did the replacement last fall, over all not a very hard job at all.i would not recommend using the drained fluid though, rinse out the washer bottle real well with a hose,(mine had some fine junk at the bottom of it) and you should be good to go.their are some pics on here some where if you do a search.i personally found it alot easier to remove the r/f wheel, total access that way.

It was a banned link. Sometimes we have issues based on previous spamming that you were not aware of.

I also confirm staying with Denso on this. It's one of those things that's not being replaced over and over.
