Default temperature display

My temperature display recently started defaulting to celsius instead degrees. I have to turn the engine off and back on and it goes back to degrees. It just started happening. It is happening about once a week. Any suggestions???

And all this time, we were under the impression that you need to reflash the ecu to change F -> C display.

Lot of people who took a US market RX north of the border wanted to do what you are experiencing, but one more permanent basis.

keep us informed.

Mine did the same thing. I'd try resetting the ECU. Mine got corrected when I changed the battery (of course the ECU was reset during the change so...)

Welcome to Club Lexus.

That is unusual, but unusual electrical symptoms are often a signal the battery is on it's last legs. If the battery is over 5 years old, I'd replace it. A Costco battery is only about $60 and it's an environmentally friendly thing to do in that the old battery is recycled.
