Does any one, have any tips how to remove it. I will try to change the seals

 

Before you remove the pump, are you loosing steering pump fluid? Make sure you are .. just in case the wetness you see is from some other source.

To remove, you have to crawl under and and loosen the pivot point and the tension adjust nut. (The nut is accessible through the hole in the pulley).

To service the pump (correctly) you may need special equipment. The vanes should be measured etc. I have not serviced one and I think you can blindly replace the seals and re-assemble. You may need a press. For my son's SC, I just bought a new-pump. It was not cheap, but that has been the only problem with the car. [If you do get/buy a new or re-furbished pump, make sure you get all fitments. The Banjo washer was obvious, but one of the pipes needed a seat seal <- recommended to be replaced every time and the local parts did not have it ... after quite a bit of search for the part number, we got it from Dallas [tells me in shop they dont replace it]. Had I blindly put the pipe on, it would have surely leaked and had I re-used the the old one, it might have].

Summary: Look down each pipe fitting hole of both the new and old pump.

I will have another look to make sure that I am loosing the fluid. Probably something else is leaking on this location.

 

The lower crankshaft seal can leak and the oil will leak on the power steering pump area with the wind blowing it to the rear of the car....
