tarekium- I'm curious as to where you found 3 and 5 wire actuators? I'm wondering if you are looking at the right ones. You should be able to buy them anywhere from $5 to $10 per kit. Available in about 10k different places online.

well I meant if they are 2 or 5 wire, I was looking on ebay, and I researched it a little because my two front door locks don't lock and unlock with the remote entry or the electric lock and unlock on the doors.

Tarekium- As Thomas said, what you need is the very popular generic lock kits with 2 wire motors and the universal rod and the mount strip. Should be able to buy a truck load of them on E-bay or better yet online at a few hundred electronics sellers.

By the way, for those of you who have done this repair (piggyback). I had my DIL's RX again recently for some maintenance and removed the front and rear door panels to check what I was sure I remembered. Indeed my memory hadn't failed me, both front and rear doors had arms with existing holes for the actuator rod. The arm looks (without taking the locks all the way back out) like it is made of white nylon or Delrin. I'm still curious to know if Lexus made different locks for the RX's or if some of the guys are just missing that arm. It certainly had the arm with the hole for some reason, but wasn't used.

Any one who wants an Non OEM equivalent solution {generic** should be prepared to splice/position/jury-rig the alternative. From previous posts it seems at least one member was successful while another seemed to be over his head.

Would love to see a photo DIY posted here.

ps - Search through GS forum. I am not sure if the RX and GS actuators are identical, but some one figured out how to replace the motor, thus keeping everything OEM.
