Factory alarm problem!!!!!!
My factory alarm will go off with in 30 secs of taking key out of ignition. I have changed all door lock actuators except the drivers side rear door. It sticks sometimes but no matter what alarm goes off everytime. Do you think I should repalce the door actuator or just take to Lexus and pay the ridiculous money to trouble shoot it? Lexus asked if all had been replaced and told them all but one and they really didnt offer any suggestions. What do you think? Has anyone had any kind of problem like this? Thanks for any help

Be thankful the problem is consistent and not intermittent.
I would think you could trouble-shoot by bypassing the suspect contacts (i.e., short them if normally-closed or disconnect them if normally-open); rather than having to replace them in the testing phase. But, maybe I'm missing something here.

How should I go about shorting them? Not to sure what you mean? When I take key out of ignition no matter what the car alarm will go off within 30 secs unless I hit the unlock button then I hit the lock button or if i dont want to lock the doors i still have to hit the unlock button or alarm will go off. Any ideas?

Wait a minute that sounds dumb right?
If it was stuck the car would not start? Or it would panic while driving too?
I don't know I am trying to think of something here. If that was totally off disregard. I am not so much and electric guy.
Sorry
I mean. It cant be the alarm itself.
It has not armed in 30 seconds. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for at least 10min?
Maybe this sounds too simple. But I rather do this kind of things than paying lexus for maybe their first action could easily be one of these.

I had to replace battery not to long ago, and it still does it. I was thinking also that it would be intermintent if it was the driver side rear door acuator seeing as it rarely gets stuck. SO i am not going to replace that which is 300 just for the part. I went to Lexus and I told the guy the same thing and he told to call on Monday b/c their shop forman was on vacation and has been working on Lexus for 17yrs and he might have an idea which I am thinking is going to be bring it here to the shop for the 120 an hr. Its a weird problem. Thats the update so far.
