After accidentally pressing the panic button on my remote, the Security light on the dash stays on (solid, no blinking) all the time, even when driving. This has been the case for a few weeks now. I have the shop manuals and all it said is that this may indicate a malfunction. I am going to try disconnecting the battery to see if that solves the problem. I might go to AutoZone and borrow their diagnostice code reader, but I suspect that it does not diagnose this type of problem. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
