security light malfuntion??

security light malfuntion??
my security light stays on all the time now. with or w/o the key in, running or not, is there a reset button for this problem? other that that everything still works as normal. someone help, this is VERY ANNOYING at night. oh this is on a 2001 model IS

I think the only way to reset the security light is to go to the dealership
when did it start?
from what i know that means that someone had a failed attemt of trying to get into your car
The dealership can plug into it reset it and let you know what happened
can anyone confirm or deny?
