I hear no sound verification when door is locked, but do hear two beeps when it is unlocked with remote. Can this be remedied?

Not absolutely sure about this one.

One thing I can tell you is that you may want to try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. Mine does function normally and I often disconnect my battery cables for other reasons. You will lose seat memory, radio presets, clock, and vehicle may feel funny for a bit in acceleration (will quickly remedy itself once vehicle is out on the road).
