Hi I want to put a black window tint on my 2000 Lexus RX300 but it had a green tint. Is it ok if I put the black tint over the green tint? I was thinking of doing 20% tint in the rear and 50% percent in the front.

 

it will just make the mirror tint more mirror like..................and your fronts will look smoked, it won't match.

 

For the driver/front-passenger side, check how dark you can go and remain legal. [state rules apply]

For asthetcs, ask the intaller to show how color wise you can get.

There is a new product [ceramic], which is reputed to be good but $$$.

i heard that black on "green" will give you a little darker mirror, but still mirror nontheless. I'm on the same boat, but I'm considering going mirror all around, since I hear the factory mirror is not removable unless you replace the windows :-( The previous owner put black in the front, and it doesn't match with the rest of the car.

 

im glad my previous owner put the same **** green mirror tint on the front windows, but i would also like it to be all black.
