p1725 code ???
Engine light kept coming on so I Took my 99 RX300 into a Toyota Dealership to get it checked and according to the invoice, the code coming up is p1725 NT REVOLUTION SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. The guy at the dealership then said he suggests I go to lexus because they're not sure exactly what that is. I've searched this forum and the web extensively and can't seem to find a single thing about this code.
The problem started earlier in the week while I was on the highway when the check engine light came on and simultaneously overdrive stopped working and the vehicle began to shift roughly. Once I got off the highway I reset it by unplugging the battery and upon reconnecting and driving it again the light was gone, overdrive was working and the vehicle was shifting smoothly but a day and a half and 100+kms later the light came back and again simultaneously, overdrive stops working and the vehicle shifts jerky. In total this has happened 4 times this week. so the code is p1725, if anyone knows what it is and what kind of repair is going to need to be done please let me know. Thanks.

I will tell you that it is not in our service manuals.
However, I think this issue occurred on some older ES models.
I think it might be related to engine revolution sensors and how they interact with the tranny, just a guess.
