I found this through the search function. I'd recommend using the Lexus/Toyota original replacement filter, but others have experimented with making their own from Home Depot A/C filters. There was some discussion a week or so back where somebody found the equivalent Toyota part number and bought one at the local Toyota dealer cheaper. I use one of the mail-order Lexus parts places (two of which help sponsor this forum).

We had a thread on CL not to long ago with people showing their old AC filters and the resulting accumulation. I also added a picture of my disgusting filter to that thread.
