Question A/C Filter RX300

I have a 1999 RX300 and I've started doing basic maintenance...Can anyone tell me where the a/c cabin filter is located???

Thanks from a first time rookie.

Welcome to the forum!

You can find instructions at http://rx300how2.home.comcast.net/ca...air_filter.htm

I found this through the search function. I'd recommend using the Lexus/Toyota original replacement filter, but others have experimented with making their own from Home Depot A/C filters. There was some discussion a week or so back where somebody found the equivalent Toyota part number and bought one at the local Toyota dealer cheaper. I use one of the mail-order Lexus parts places (two of which help sponsor this forum).

Thanks for your help...it looks like a great site too.

We had a thread on CL not to long ago with people showing their old AC filters and the resulting accumulation. I also added a picture of my disgusting filter to that thread.
