20004 Filter on an RX300?
I bought 5 20004 filters (long thought of as the "gold standard" in oil filters due to synth. filtering media) for my '00 landcruiser - the box indicates "UZ series" which should cover the RX's 1UZ engine and the landcruiser's 2UZ-FE engine - anyone ever use this?
I ordered (and received) 2 HP-2009 K&N filters per Lexmex's advice on here, and previously used the Denso YZZD1. I hope I can use the same filter wrench on the 20004 as the YZZD1 - they seem very similar except for height and filtering media (and price). The Denso uses 73MM as a wrench right? Any good ideas for a wrench online?
The 20004s can be readily ordered on the IH8MUD.COM website, if anyone is interested. Pretty cool filter - heavy duty. The media is sponge-like on reviews, never seen anything like it.

I have used two or more different Toyota (Denso?) filters over the years on my RX300 and I have needed two different sized end-cap tools. In one case, I tried several end-cap tools at a Toyota dealer until I found the right size. In the other case, I took the filter in to an auto parts store and tried the end cap tools there to find the right one.

bob2200 - I hand-tightened that sucker on my wife's RX (YZZD1) and now I cannot get it off. In the past, when I've tried the oil wrenches without the socket I haven't had enough room to get in there and latch it on...without a socket head, I'm dreading this next change. I don't have anymore of the YZZD1s to test on a wrench head - but I do have the 20004s, so I was hoping they were the same size diameter (but based on your post, it appears not!). The K&N will put to rest this issue.
