I am in the process of purchasing a RX300 and am wondering how frequent the clear head light covers get damaged from stones and road debris? Should I get the clear safety covering called Expell to protect them?

Bought my wife her RX in May of 1998. About 35k miles of mostly suburban drving, about 15% freeway. Headlight covers still clear and unscratched. Don't know if they've repelled any rocks but only have a couple of tiny paint dings.

Depends on your driving situation, tho; some members have been pretty happy with a 3M product called StoneGuard.
