My wife has a 1999 Lexus RX300. It lost the taillights this evening. The vehicle is equipped with a tailer hitch. The brakes, backup, turnsignal all work fine. The automatic lights works also. The only concern is that tail light in the rear. I've confirm with a test light that no power is getting to the tail light bulbs.

Any Suggestions?

 

Sounds like rear light module... strange on a 1999 already defective?????

How did the install go for the trailer? Were any wires spliced wrong in the process.

Could also be something as simple as a loose wire.
