Default Engine Trouble

My dad owns a 2000 Lexus RX 300. He was very happy with the car until the engine unexpectedly blew this summer.

The car had been very well maintained up to that point.

Apparently, there is some design flaw in the engines that causes the oil to sludge and blocks circulation.

Lexus/Toyato are reluctant to take responsibility for replacing the engine.

Has anyone who has experienced this problem been succesful in getting Lexus to fix it?

Lexus upped their base engine warranty. You dad shoul have received a letter from Lexus on this issue.

If you do search, key word slugde, you should find enough information.

RXforanRX,

Could you describe what experiences your dad had at the time of his RX's engine failure and what difficulties you have had thus far with Lexus regarding repair?

its because the cooling passeges in the engine are too small and the rx is heavier and awd. thus more strain on the engine and making it run slightly higher temps. what ends up sludge in the engine

how many miles on it and lexus might good will it
