No, the ones I can't figure out are the ones in the car body. The tailgate bulbs are easy. Thanks anyway.
Your post says: "I am trying to put LED bulbs in my backup lights but I can't figure out how to get to the bulbs in the fendèrs My manual-on-a-cd is of no help."
So it's confusing as to if you were asking about the backup lights or the front or rear side marker lights. Side markers are accessed through the wheel well. See: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ml#post7035497
The rear of the car has, arguably, four tail lights, two in the lift gate and two on the rear corners/fenders. The ones in the lift gate are easy to get to but the other two are a mystery to me.I I'm probably overlooking something obvious.
And if that wasn't enough for me to deal with, I am unable to locate the PCV valve.
My car is a 2001 RX300, BTW.

The confusion is that this thread is titled "backup lights", which usually refers to the white lights that turn on when you are in reverse. You also referred to rear corners/fenders.
The drivers-side rear of the car has 5 bulbs:
1 backup (reverse) light in the liftgate lens
2 combination tail light/brake light. One in the corner lens, one in the liftgate lens
Also PCV has changed over the model years. The earlier had a push-in grommet style and the later with the threads. If you have the push in type, remember to purchase the grommet as the old one will not be in a re-usable condition and most likely will need to eb cut/ripped to extricate.
The screws that hold the tail light assemblies are very well hidden! I had to really look hard to see where the small covers over the screws are. Thanks for the YouTube link!
I replaced the incandescent bulbs with (expensive) LED replacements. Major difference! Now I won't back over the cat...
