RX300 A/C pressure switch
I have a 2002 RX300 and the A/C light blinks and occasionally I get no cooling from the A/C.
I think the main problem from all the threads seem to a failed A/C Pressure Swtich.
It is located in the middle front of the radiator below the H connector for the A/C line.
I cannot find a part number for this. Anyone had this part replaced?
Appreciate your help!
Ben
Many members have reported the blinking AC light to water on the road being spalted on the accessory belt. After the belt dries or heats up the flashing goes away. I would suggest checking the belt first as your stated problem is not a hard fail.

The part number is 8864548020. It is on back-order at Autodoc now.
Thanks for your help, I hope this info can help someone else as well.

To confirm Diagnosis, monitor the pressure by connecting pressure gauges. You can be low on gas and the pressure switch can ok. If the pressure is right you can bypass the switch. [if the pressure is low, bypassing can damage the compressor]

this is a great Forum! The A/C gas was just renewed and checked. I was hoping that the blincking A/C light was a result of low gas, but alas the symptom sis not go away. This would more that likely point to a faulty pressure switch that does not engage when there is enough pressure. Another method is also to short the leads on the switch so the ECM think that there is positive pressure in the A/C flow.
Now if I can get my car back from my g/f long enough to short the sensor switch.... now that is another tale..
