I’m having a problem removing the old neutral safety switch. I have attached a photo. I can’t seem to remove the bracket that connects the shift cable to the shaft on the switch. I sprayed it with rust penetrant but it seems seized. I know there’s another but that needs to be backed off behind it. Any recommendations on how to remove it? Thank you

 

It looks like you might be able to hold the shaft with a wrench an rotate the bracket so the slot lines up then maybe slide it off.
